The response to our previous established vivarium was fantastic, so we’ve decided to offer another mature Frogfather bioactive setup at the same incredible value.
This is a 45cm wide × 45cm deep × 60cm high established bioactive vivarium with aged substrate, mature live planting and a diverse clean-up crew already living within the ecosystem.
This isn’t a freshly planted enclosure assembled specifically for sale. As the photographs show, the plants have had time to grow, climb and establish throughout the enclosure, creating the dense, natural environment that takes time to achieve from a brand-new setup.

Established, Mature & Bioactive
There is a significant difference between buying the components for a bioactive vivarium and buying an ecosystem that has already had time to establish.
The substrate in this enclosure is already aged and biologically active. The planting is mature, with climbing and trailing species having grown throughout the available space, while several different microfauna populations are already present within the substrate and leaf litter.
The clean-up crew includes four types of springtail, grindal worms, tropical white isopods and five Orange Panda isopods, providing considerably more biological diversity than simply adding a starter culture to a newly built enclosure.
45 × 45 × 60cm – Extra Vertical Space
The additional height makes this a particularly versatile enclosure.
At 60cm high, there is considerably more usable vertical structure than in a standard 45cm cube. The established climbing plants and hardscape already make use of that height, creating cover and usable areas throughout the enclosure rather than concentrating everything at substrate level.
It can make an excellent enclosure for suitable Dendrobates and, depending on the individual species and its husbandry requirements, the additional vertical space may also suit a range of smaller arboreal species.
As always, the eventual inhabitants should be selected according to their individual adult size, social behaviour, environmental and husbandry requirements rather than enclosure dimensions alone.
Lighting Included
This Flash Sale does not include one of our premium vivarium lighting systems.
Instead, we’re including a Sensi plant light so that the mature planting can continue receiving suitable illumination while the new owner decides what animals they intend to keep and whether they wish to upgrade or change the lighting accordingly.
A thermometer and hygrometer are also included.

This is a mature, fully planted glass vivarium and is therefore available for collection from Nottingham only. We’re not prepared to dismantle an established ecosystem or entrust it to a conventional parcel courier.
