Description
10 Litre Ventilated Culture & Temporary Grow-Out Tub
Empty container only – no animals, insects, substrate or décor included.
A clip-lid ventilated tub that can be used for suitable invertebrate cultures, feeder cultures and carefully managed temporary animal grow-out/quarantine situations.
Escape wording corrected
We previously called the container “escape-proof”. No ventilated tub should be assumed completely escape-proof for fruit flies, tiny springtails or newly metamorphosed frogs without checking the actual vent size, lid fit and species being kept.
Froglet use
A 10-litre tub can be useful as a temporary grow-out enclosure for selected newly metamorphosed frogs when ventilation, humidity, furnishing, feeding and security are appropriate. It should not be treated as a universal long-term frog enclosure.
Humidity and ventilation
The vent pattern provides airflow, but we no longer claim that it automatically maintains high humidity with minimal condensation. Conditions depend on room temperature, substrate, water input, stocking and vent area. Measure and adjust the setup rather than relying on the container design alone.
Before use
- Check every vent and lid gap against the size of the inhabitants/feeders.
- Provide species-appropriate substrate, cover and moisture.
- Inspect the lid and clips regularly.
- Do not stack in a way that blocks ventilation.
