Description
Premium Bromeliad Dart Frog Vivarium – 50x50x60cm
Looking for a fully established bromeliad-focused dart frog vivarium without waiting months for plants and microfauna to mature?
This professionally planted 50cm x 50cm x 60cm tall bioactive vivarium has been grown in and maintained to create a thriving tropical ecosystem centred around a stunning feature bromeliad display. The enclosure provides excellent vertical structure, elevated resting areas and natural water-holding leaf axils, making it a potentially suitable layout for selected Ranitomeya and other small arboreal dart frogs when the particular species, group size and social behaviour are appropriate. The 50 × 50 × 60 cm dimensions should not be treated as a universal thumbnail-frog stocking rule.
Unlike a newly built vivarium, this enclosure already contains established plant growth, mature microfauna populations and a functioning clean-up crew, making it a true plug-and-play setup.

Why Buy an Established Vivarium?
Most vivariums look their best six months to a year after construction. By purchasing an established enclosure, you avoid the lengthy grow-in period and receive a display that already has mature planting, established moss growth and functioning microfauna populations.
The result is a healthier environment for your animals and a far more attractive display from day one.
Perfect For
- Ranitomeya variabilis
- Ranitomeya imitator
- Ranitomeya ventrimaculata
- Thumbnail dart frogs
- Arboreal amphibians
- Bromeliad-focused breeding projects

Enclosure Suitability & Evidence Review
Last reviewed: 5 September 2026
There is no single scientifically established enclosure dimension that is appropriate for every dart frog, tree frog or other tropical species. Enclosure suitability depends on adult body size, activity, climbing or terrestrial use, territorial and social behaviour, group size, ventilation, usable planted space, refuge availability and the keeper’s ability to maintain stable environmental conditions.
Dimensions quoted on this page describe the enclosure being sold; they should not be read as a universal minimum stocking rule. Frogfather recommends choosing the inhabitants first and confirming that the finished enclosure provides appropriate usable space, environmental gradients and social-management options for those animals.
