Built As A Living Rainforest Display
This vivarium has been designed to look natural, hold humidity well and support a stable tropical environment. The full glass top helps retain moisture,

Ideal For Dart Frogs And Tropical Amphibians
This setup is especially suitable for keepers looking for a premium display vivarium for dart frogs, smaller tropical frogs, young amphibians, grow-on setups or humidity-loving planted displays.

Bioactive And Planted From The Start
A proper bioactive vivarium is about more than simply adding soil and plants. This setup includes a structured drainage layer, suitable substrate, tropical planting and microfauna to help create a more balanced environment over time.
The included microfauna help process organic matter, support the soil layer and keep the ecosystem functioning more naturally. This makes the vivarium ideal for anyone who wants a more established setup without starting completely from scratch.
Collection Only From Nottingham
Due to the size, weight, glass construction and planted hardscape, this vivarium is available for collection only from Nottingham.
This ensures the setup can be collected safely without risking damage to the glass, plants, hardscape or misting system during courier transport.
Important Notes
- No animals are included with this vivarium unless clearly stated separately.
- Collection is from Nottingham only.
- The setup is already planted and hardscaped, so care should be taken when transporting it.
- Exact planting and hardscape layout may vary slightly if similar setups are built again in future.
This is a premium, ready-built tropical vivarium for anyone wanting a naturalistic, planted, automated setup without the hassle of building everything from scratch.
Bioactive note: ‘bioactive’ does not mean maintenance-free or self-sustaining. The enclosure still requires observation, feeding, water management, plant care, waste removal where necessary and population management.
Enclosure Suitability & Evidence Review
Last reviewed: 5 September 2026
There is no single scientifically established enclosure dimension that is appropriate for every dart frog, tree frog or other tropical species. Enclosure suitability depends on adult body size, activity, climbing or terrestrial use, territorial and social behaviour, group size, ventilation, usable planted space, refuge availability and the keeper’s ability to maintain stable environmental conditions.
Dimensions quoted on this page describe the enclosure being sold; they should not be read as a universal minimum stocking rule. Frogfather recommends choosing the inhabitants first and confirming that the finished enclosure provides appropriate usable space, environmental gradients and social-management options for those animals.
