Description
Cinnamon Leaves for Vivariums – 50g
Dried cinnamon-type leaves supplied as botanical leaf litter for suitable planted vivariums, terrariums and invertebrate cultures.
What leaf litter can provide
- Floor cover and hiding structure.
- Organic material and surfaces for detritivorous microfauna.
- Variation in texture and decomposition rate when mixed with other leaves.
- Some reduction in direct evaporation from covered patches of substrate.
Claims corrected
Earlier wording said these leaves maintain a stable bioactive vivarium, regulate humidity, ensure long-term enclosure balance and are automatically “amphibian safe”. Those claims are too broad.
Leaf performance varies with the actual plant material, thickness, moisture, microbes and enclosure conditions. Professionally cleaning or treating botanical material does not by itself prove toxicological safety for amphibians.
Preparation
Inspect and rinse/prepare the leaves before use as appropriate. Do not use material with suspicious residues, chemical odour or heavy contamination. Top up or replace leaf litter as it decomposes.
Enclosure & Bioactive Review

“Established” describes an enclosure that has been running before sale; it does not mean maintenance-free, self-sustaining or automatically suitable for a particular species. Final stocking depends on usable space, ventilation, environmental performance and animal behaviour.
