Rain Chamber Attachment – 8mm Pipe Compatible
Hardware only – no live animals, pump or complete rain chamber are included.
A simple attachment for creating fine overhead/leaf-level rainfall in a controlled amphibian rain-chamber or seasonal husbandry setup using suitable 8mm tubing and a compatible pump.
What it can do
- Create rainfall-like water delivery over leaves, branches or other surfaces.
- Support controlled seasonal/rainfall simulations where those are appropriate to the species.
- Allow repositioning using the supplied mounting style.
Breeding claims corrected
The previous listing said this attachment “encourages breeding behaviour” and helps trigger calling and reproduction in Mossy Frogs and glass frogs. Rainfall can be an important environmental cue for some amphibians, but this attachment does not guarantee calling, courtship, oviposition or successful breeding.
Whether a rain cycle is appropriate depends on the exact species, season, temperature, water quality, photoperiod, conditioning and individual animals. A breeding rain chamber should be designed around those requirements rather than treating rainfall alone as the trigger.
Water and electrical safety
Use clean water appropriate to the species and keep pumps, mains connections and electrical equipment protected from splashing and overflow. Check drainage before running prolonged rain cycles.
Humidity
This attachment adds water; it is not a humidity controller. Do not assume that more rainfall or longer run times are automatically beneficial. Monitor the enclosure directly and maintain appropriate ventilation.
