Animal option: where the optional Powder Blue Dendrobates tinctorius are supplied, the final hardscape, planting, refuge distribution and equipment should be assessed around those animals. A large external dimension is helpful but does not by itself guarantee social compatibility or appropriate microclimates.

There is no single scientifically established enclosure dimension that is appropriate for every dart frog, tree frog or other tropical species. Enclosure suitability depends on adult body size, activity, climbing or terrestrial use, territorial and social behaviour, group size, ventilation, usable planted space, refuge availability and the keeper’s ability to maintain stable environmental conditions.
Dimensions quoted on this page describe the enclosure being sold; they should not be read as a universal minimum stocking rule. Frogfather recommends choosing the inhabitants first and confirming that the finished enclosure provides appropriate usable space, environmental gradients and social-management options for those animals.
