Description
Fine Control Over Ventilation
Sometimes a fixed vent gives you too much airflow – or not quite enough. The Frogfather Micro-Adjustable Vent is designed to give you much finer control over the balance between ventilation and humidity.
Each vent features micro-fine stainless steel mesh sandwiched between two rotating adjustment discs. By turning the outer section, you can make small changes to the amount of exposed ventilation area without having to replace, cover or modify the vent.
Approximately 30–70% Adjustable Airflow
These aren’t designed to completely seal an enclosure or become fully open. Instead, the adjustment range runs from approximately 30% to 70% open.
This gives you a useful range for fine-tuning airflow while maintaining permanent ventilation – particularly useful where small changes can make a noticeable difference to humidity and moisture retention.
Micro-Fine Stainless Steel Mesh
Between the adjustable sections sits a layer of micro-fine stainless steel mesh. This maintains a physical barrier across the vent while still allowing air exchange.
It’s particularly useful for enclosures housing small invertebrates or microfauna where conventional ventilation holes may be too large.
Ideal For
- Isopod cultures and breeding tubs
- Springtail and microfauna cultures
- Invertebrate enclosures
- Frog and amphibian grow-out tubs
- Propagation and high-humidity tubs
- Bioactive culture containers
- DIY enclosure projects
Dial In Your Humidity
Ventilation requirements can change depending on the enclosure, substrate, stocking, room temperature and time of year. Rather than being restricted to a fixed ventilation area, these vents allow you to make small adjustments until you find the balance that works for your setup.
Increase the exposed area when you need greater airflow, or reduce it when you want to retain more humidity.
What’s Included?
2 × Frogfather Micro-Adjustable Vents
Each vent includes the adjustable mechanism and integrated micro-fine stainless steel mesh.
Please note: these vents are intentionally designed to maintain permanent airflow. They do not completely close or fully open, with an approximate adjustment range of 30–70% open.
