BromeliHook STL Files – Flexible Egg-Deposition Holder

The BromeliHook is a two-part printable holder designed to mount a removable artificial bromeliad, cup or similar potential egg-deposition site inside a vivarium.
Features
- Detachable mounting system for easier removal and inspection.
- Can be incorporated into suitable glass, foam, wood or background builds using an appropriate mounting method.
- Useful where keepers want removable potential deposition sites without dismantling the surrounding hardscape.
Breeding wording corrected
We previously said semi-clear versions could “encourage egg-laying higher in the vivarium” and described the printed PLA as non-toxic. Neither claim is established by the STL design itself.
The file provides a holder; whether a frog chooses the mounted cup or bromeliad depends on species, placement, microclimate and individual behaviour.
Printing responsibility
Because this is a digital file, the person printing it controls the filament, pigments/additives, printer settings, surface quality and any coatings. Those choices determine the properties of the finished object. Rinse printed parts before use and inspect them regularly in humid animal enclosures.

Artificial hides and deposition accessories can provide additional shelter or potential egg-laying sites. They do not guarantee breeding, fertility or hatch rate. Frogfather also avoids calling a 3D-printed item “non-toxic” or biologically inert solely because it is made from PLA: finished-part properties depend on filament formulation, additives, printing and use conditions.
