Each bundle contains six carefully selected tropical plant cuttings, chosen for their larger foliage, upright growth or ability to climb through the middle and upper areas of a planted vivarium.

This collection is the perfect companion to low-growing ground-cover and shingling plants. Position these taller plants towards the rear or middle of your enclosure to create depth, fill open spaces and develop the layered appearance of a tropical forest.

What’s Included?

You will receive six different tropical terrarium plant cuttings, individually selected from the healthy plants currently available at Frogfather HQ.

Depending on availability, your bundle may include plants such as:

• Syngonium rayii
• Pilea ‘Silver Tree’
• Cissus discolor, also known as the Rex Begonia Vine
• Dragon’s Tongue and other compact tropical foliage plants
• Decorative Pilea varieties
• Selected begonias and other humidity-loving vivarium plants

A particular plant shown in the photographs cannot be guaranteed, but every order will contain six different cuttings selected for their larger foliage, upright growth or value as structural vivarium planting.

Ideal for Rear and Mid-Level Planting

Low-growing plants are excellent for covering substrate and hardscape, but a convincing tropical vivarium also needs height. These plants are selected to develop above the forest floor, producing attractive layers of foliage through the middle and rear of the enclosure.

Use them to:

• Create taller background planting
• Add height and structure to bioactive vivariums
• Fill spaces behind cork, branches and hardscape
• Provide natural cover and visual barriers
• Create broad leaves for frogs to climb, perch or shelter beneath
• Add contrasting green, silver, purple and metallic foliage

Suitable for Tropical Vivariums

These plants are selected for warm, humid planted environments. They are suitable for many dart frog, tree frog, gecko and tropical invertebrate enclosures when provided with appropriate temperatures, lighting, moisture and ventilation.

For successful establishment, provide:

• Bright, indirect full-spectrum lighting
• Consistently humid conditions
• Moist but aerated planting media
• Good airflow around the foliage
• Space for larger leaves and upward growth

The bundle contains a mixture of growth habits. Some plants will grow upright, while others—particularly Cissus and Syngonium—may climb, lean or scramble through branches and surrounding hardscape as they establish.

Supplied as Terrarium Plant Cuttings

The bundle contains the actual healthy cuttings or young plant portions selected for your order. They are protected in damp moss for transport, helping maintain moisture around the stems and developing roots.

Root development and cutting size will naturally vary between species. Some cuttings may already have established roots, while others will require time to root after planting. Plant them promptly after arrival and maintain stable humidity while they establish.

Some temporary leaf movement, minor cosmetic marking or acclimation following transport is normal. Healthy new growth is the best indication that a cutting has successfully established.
