Description
3D-Printed IsoPOD Display Vivarium
A modular flat-packed display enclosure designed for appropriately selected terrestrial invertebrates, with optional lighting on selected configurations.
Species suitability
Possible uses include selected isopods, millipedes, mantids, spiders and beetles where the dimensions, vent area, substrate depth, moisture and security meet that particular species’ requirements. The enclosure should not be assumed suitable for every species in these groups.
Material wording corrected
The previous page described the printed polymer as “eco-friendly”, “eco-conscious” and “safe”. Those terms are too broad without defined lifecycle or toxicological evidence for the finished part. Frogfather therefore describes the product simply as 3D printed and focuses on its physical design.
Ventilation wording corrected
Cross-flow openings provide air exchange, but they do not automatically create “optimised airflow”, humidity balance or reduced mould risk. Required ventilation varies widely between dry-adapted and moisture-dependent invertebrates.
Lighting
Optional LED lighting is primarily for display and planted setups. Check that it does not raise enclosure temperature excessively and that inhabitants retain shaded refuges.
Assembly and security
Assemble the unit fully before adding livestock and inspect all joins, doors and vents against the smallest life stage of the intended inhabitants. A modular enclosure should not be assumed escape-proof solely because the panels fit tightly.
Dry-use design: as stated in the original listing, this is not designed as a water-feature/aquatic enclosure.
