Description
6 Tall Terrarium Plants – Upright / Background Plant Bundle
A mixed bundle of six tropical cuttings or young plants selected for greater height, larger foliage, climbing/scrambling growth or background structure.
What may be included
Depending on stock, the bundle may include plants such as Syngonium rayii, Pilea cultivars, Cissus discolor, Dragon’s Tongue, begonias and other suitable tropical foliage plants. Exact species, colour and rooting stage vary with availability.
Mixed-species care
Because six different plants may be supplied, there is no single scientifically correct humidity, temperature or watering prescription for the entire bundle. Most selections are chosen because they generally perform well in warm, humid planted terrariums with filtered/indirect light, moist but aerated rooting media and useful airflow.
Adjust position and watering according to the actual plants received. Some species prefer more airflow, more light or a slightly drier root zone than others.
Animal-enclosure wording
The old copy said these plants were suitable for many dart frog, tree frog, gecko and invertebrate enclosures. They can provide useful visual cover and structure, but plant suitability should be checked against the intended animals and the way the plants were grown.
Prepare plants before amphibian use: inspect them, remove old growing media where practical and rinse appropriately to reduce possible fertiliser or pesticide residues. Frogfather does not use “safe for amphibians” as an automatic property of a plant species.
Cuttings and establishment
Some plants may arrive rooted while others may require further rooting. Establishment speed varies with species, root condition, light, substrate and water. Minor cosmetic transport damage does not necessarily indicate plant failure; healthy new growth is the more useful sign of successful establishment.
