Sunday Update from Frogfather HQ

It’s been a busy but exciting week here at Frogfather HQ, with plenty happening across our frog room, workshop, and even our plant setups.

Tiny Vivariums for Australian Dwarf Lizards

This week we were commissioned to design and build some very small vivariums for tiny Australian lizards. The build was a challenge but also a fascinating opportunity to test out a new door mechanism that we’re really excited about. We’ll be sharing a full video on this later in the week, so keep an eye out if you enjoy innovative enclosure design.

Milk Frog Tadpoles and Fresh Eggs

Our milk frog tadpoles are thriving and continuing to grow well. On top of that, we’ve had three new sets of eggs laid this week! The highlight for us is definitely the clutch from our Ufiga redhead small form dart frogs — a truly stunning species and one we’re especially excited about.

How-To Vivarium Backgrounds

We’ve also started work on two new tutorial videos for anyone interested in vivarium design. One will show you how to build a background outside of a vivarium, and the other will demonstrate how to construct one directly inside a tank. Both approaches have their advantages, and we’re looking forward to sharing the results with you soon.

Humidity Reclamation Project

Finally, we’ve made progress on an experimental project that’s all about sustainability. By making use of the humidity produced by our six-foot fish tank, we’re able to support a small plant nursery — a great way of recycling resources and keeping our tropical plants happy.

A Busy Week Ahead

So, all in all, it’s been a packed week full of exciting developments. From new builds and breeding success to experiments in sustainable plant care, there’s always something happening at Frogfather HQ. Thanks for following along, and we can’t wait to share more updates soon.
