The Lorenzo morph is one of the most eye-catching tinctorius types in the hobby, known for its deep cobalt blue limbs, jet-black body, and a bold orange to yellow dorsal “saddle”. In a planted vivarium, they absolutely pop.
Like other Dendrobates tinctorius, Lorenzo frogs are typically larger, terrestrial, and highly visible compared with many thumbnail species. With the right setup, they’re a confident display animal that rewards good husbandry with natural behaviours and strong feeding responses.

- Substrate: bioactive drainage layer + suitable substrate + deep leaf litter
- Microfauna: springtails and isopods recommended for waste management
Feeding
Juveniles do best with small live feeders offered little and often. Variety is your friend.
