Description
Zoo Med T5 3D Printed Light Riser Stand
This Zoo Med T5 3D printed light riser has been designed to raise your T5 lighting fixture above the top of your vivarium, terrarium or aquarium, creating a cleaner, safer and more practical lighting setup.
Many T5 lights sit directly on mesh lids, glass tops or enclosure frames. That can restrict airflow, trap heat and make it harder to route misting pipework, cables or plant growth around the top of the enclosure. These risers help solve that by lifting the light slightly above the surface while keeping the fixture stable and neatly positioned.
Why use a Zoo Med T5 light riser?
- Improves airflow around the light fitting and enclosure top.
- Helps reduce heat build-up by lifting the light away from direct contact.
- Creates extra clearance for misting lines, cables, mesh lids and plant growth.
- Gives a cleaner display look for vivariums, terrariums and aquariums.
- Designed for Zoo Med T5 fixtures rather than being a generic stand.
- 3D printed in-house by Frogfather for practical reptile, amphibian and planted setups.
Suitable for vivariums, terrariums and aquariums
This light riser is ideal for keepers who want a neat way to raise their Zoo Med T5 light above a bioactive vivarium, dart frog enclosure, gecko setup, planted terrarium, paludarium or aquarium.
It is especially useful where you need a little more space above the enclosure for ventilation, misting nozzles, airline, cables, plant growth or general maintenance access.
New raised airflow design
This updated design uses angled support feet to give the riser a wider stance and a more stable footprint, while still keeping the light elevated. The open centre helps avoid unnecessary blocking across the top of the enclosure, making it a practical option for tropical and bioactive setups where airflow matters.
Perfect for bioactive setups
In a planted vivarium or aquarium, small improvements to lighting height and airflow can make the setup easier to manage. Raising the light can help prevent the top of the enclosure from becoming too cluttered, while also giving plants more natural growing room underneath the fixture.
For dart frog and amphibian keepers, this can also make it easier to balance lighting, ventilation and misting without having everything pressed directly onto the lid.

UVB & Lighting Safety Review
Last reviewed: 5 September 2026
This product guidance has been reviewed against peer-reviewed amphibian UVB/vitamin D research and current Frogfather husbandry guidance.
Important: a riser, stand or mount positions a lamp; it does not by itself establish a safe or appropriate UVB exposure. UVB reaching an animal depends on the lamp and reflector, distance, mesh or other obstruction, angle, enclosure layout and the species being kept. Where UVB is used, provide a gradient with effective shade and assess exposure at animal level rather than choosing a setup from the percentage printed on the lamp alone.
Published amphibian evidence supports a biological role for UVB and vitamin D3, but does not establish one universal UVB requirement or one fixed lamp percentage/distance for all amphibians or all dart frogs.
