Description
3D-Printed Display Vivarium – 25 × 30 × 25 cm
A compact printed display enclosure with sliding front access and integrated ventilation, intended for appropriately selected terrestrial invertebrates.
Potential inhabitants
The enclosure may suit selected isopods, spiders, scorpions or other invertebrates where the dimensions, ventilation, substrate depth, humidity and security match that particular species. The species should be selected first rather than assuming one enclosure works for all invertebrates in those groups.
Material wording corrected
The previous page called the print material “bio-friendly”. That is too vague to be a meaningful safety or environmental claim. The finished part is 3D printed; properties depend on the filament formulation, pigments/additives, print settings and use conditions.
Ventilation wording corrected
Integrated vents provide openings for air exchange, but we no longer call the airflow “optimal”. Required ventilation differs greatly between isopods, arid scorpions, humid spiders and other invertebrates. Adjust furnishing and moisture to the actual species.
Security
Check door gaps and vent openings against the smallest life stage of the intended animal. No enclosure should be assumed escape-proof for every juvenile or micro-invertebrate.
Lighting
If the supplied/integrated light is used, make sure it does not overheat the enclosure or remove access to shaded refuges.
