Dart frogs don’t actually drink water like we do.
Instead they absorb moisture through specialised skin on their underside. This process is called osmosis.
It’s one of the reasons humidity is so important in a dart frog vivarium.
Moist leaf litter, plants and misting help create the environment these frogs evolved for.
